Hiya, Noticed a while ago that this functionality had ceased to work. Still get a 'success' message after clicking the button/ link (in Discussions) but nothing ever arrives in the Inbox. (And definitely not Junk.)
I was able to share this discussion with myself, and did receive an email notification.
So I just tried sharing it with you as well. I see that you have two accounts -- wonder if that's part of the problem. I shared with both of them.
Ah, that’s interesting. Two accounts? News to me. The only one I know about is the one called mardikennedy.
What is the other one?
All the best,
thought: I always sign in with mardikennedy but if I try to share (ex both mac and pcs) then I start entering the email - indigobooks - which triggers the drop down list and I select me.
Does that help?
Confirming that it's still not working. Any joy from Jive yet?
I'm not convinced at this point that this is a Jive issue. Here's what I recommend to test:
1) Create a new FM Community account with a different email address.
2) Try sharing to yourself using that account, and see whether you receive the share.
3) If so, we'll work together to switch your "indigo books" email to the test account, and then repeat the test.
4) If that succeeds, then it's a Jive problem with your account. If that fails, it's pretty likely it's something to do with your email account.
Does that sounds like a reasonable test, and are you up for going through all that?
Sounds good, Mark. I'll be able to do that either later tomorrow or on the weekend some time.
BTW, you've written 'indigo books' as two separate words whereas it's actually a single string however I've noticed that in lots of situations in the last couple of months, whenever I've entered credentials in various contexts, the email address has been automatically 'corrected'. (it's bloody annoying actually, but it isn't confined to Mac. Originally I thought it was related to El C, but I've also experienced ex PC, so it seems to be related to OS at the host end). At any rate, perhaps Jive also has an issue here? Pure speculation on my part.
Yes, it was an autocorrect in Mail — not in Jive.
