Script Trigger that fires based on Web Viewer

I have a simple Web Viewer that requires the user to login to a site - if successful a code is returned in the HTML source of the page. I scrape that code from the html source and proceed.

At the moment the process is as follows:

1. user navigates to layout with Web Viewer which loads web site login page

2. user enters username/password and clicks submit

3. if there was an error it will be display on the Web Viewer, otherwise user then has to click a button on the layout which checks for a hidden code in the html source and proceeds with some additional actions.

I'm trying to eliminate the user having to click the button at step 3 - is there some kind of trigger that will automatically run and check the html source for the hidden code after the users clicks the submit button?

I don't have control over the web site and this also has to work with FileMaker Pro v12, 13 and 14.

thanks,

Steve
