I am writing several scripts that a client will use regularly to import data. Most of the data entry in this solution will be done via such imports -- Excel spreadsheets that are provided to the client from their vendors on a monthly basis.
Some of the spreadsheets I was given to work with and test the imports had no data except for the first row, which contained field names. I expected to see, in the dialog that FMP displays after import, that zero records had been imported. Instead, it imported 35 blank records. I tested a second spreadsheet that was like the first. On this occasion only one blank row was imported. What's going on?
