    Activating/deactivating - limits?

    alexdunwoodie

I've been asked to move my copy of Filemaker Pro 14 to an older 2GB MacBook Pro. Could anyone tell me A) will Filemaker slow down to a crawl (I know specs say it would run but 4GB is recommended), and B) is there a limit to how many times I can activate/deactivate a copy of Filemaker -- I'd need to move it back to my other laptop if it doesn't work and I want to make sure I'd be able to do that. Thanks

you can't run the same program (same license key) on the same network at the same time. There is no limit on the number of times you can re install FileMaker. People change computers all the time and install on the new one. You should use the installer though, and not attempt to manually move everything except, of course, your solution files.
