HI, I've also seen this at times, but believe it is misinformation rather than being the actual situation - a bit like an earlier version reported WebDirect as not running, when in fact it was fine.
Have you navigated away and then back to the Activity tab to refresh the browser? Also worth logging in from another browser or other machine to check the status. You may find that the files are reported as closed.
No closing script stuck in a loop?
I tried moving between tabs. No change.
I tried logging out and back in, using a different browser, and logging in on localhost via RDP. No change and still report as Closing.
There is no access to the files in Closing status. The big issue is these files cannot be opened when they are stuck Closing. To open the files FMS service needs to be restarted.
Using Close All seems to always have this problem with at least one file.
Login to server admin and close one file at a time. Logging out between each file I need to close.
keywords No loops.
A few things:
The FMS log records open/close databases, what is being reported?
Is there plenty of spare disk space on the server?
Do you have anti-virus running on the server?
Are you using external container field storage?
Do the files all close normally if you repeatedly open and close local versions using FMP?
