I think you might be looking at the Training Day (in addition or instead of) DevCon
Training is always beneficial. Some companies like that training is tacked on before a conference, one travel cost, two bird served.
Gotcha Bev, so it's a pre-conf event.
$200 for a training day is not much.
So if you like to learn FileMaker, take the chance!
Thanks to you both, registered for the main event as well as the pre-cont training.
I'm a one-time attendee. [An Aussie, who plans to go every other year].
Training doesn't hurt; you'll always pick something new up. The conference itself is excellent [based on my one year of experience ]. Will be well worth your time.
If you are not a Certified Developer then $200 training is a pretty good bargain.
Even though I have developing FM solutions for more than 3 years now, this year it's my first DevCon. With this much experience now a first time at DevCon means I don't even know where to begin choosing sessions. I want to go to 90% of them
Certainly attending DevCon early on is beneficial but I guess revisiting again at some point would certainly add even more value.
Looking forward for July
Most of the sessions are being recorded, but check the book. Recordings are released to attendees within a few months after devcon. So I'd recommend going to what you think will be the best bang for your buck, and highlighting parallel interests for that time period to review once the session recordings come out later.
See you there!
