Good afternoon.

I am new to using Filemaker Pro (12v3) and need some help.  I went through the tutorial in the User Guide and still have not resolved what I am hoping I can do.

I am attempting to quickly learn Filemaker as part of an audit process for thousands of rows of data.  I can make Excel do what I need it to do using formulas, custom sorting, and the like, but importing all of the data into one Excel spreadsheet is very tedious, standardizing the header row, formatting every set of data to that header row, etc.

I am trying to find a way for Filemaker to look at a particular cell (for the sake of example, Cell A1), make a comparison with what is in a look up table, and then populate the cell to the right (Cell A2) with the value from the look up.  Is this possible in Filemaker?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
