Product and version: FileMaker Server 14 v188.8.131.522
OS and version: Mac OS X 10.11.4 (had Server 5.1 installed, but disabled it because FM Server would not run)
Browser and version: N/A
Hardware: Mac mini Server (Mid 2010), 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB RAM
Description: A schedule set to run overnight that required a number of scripts to execute failed with error 757, “FileMaker scripts can't be run because FileMaker Script Engine (FMSE) process is stopped. Use the command "fmsadmin start fmse" to start the FMSE process.” Executing the listed command returned “Error: 10006 (Service already running)”. Attempting to manually execute the schedule resulted in the same error 757 and followup error 10006.
How to replicate: Wait for schedules to fail with error 757
Workaround: Use the CLI command fmsadmin restart fmse to kill and restart the script engine. (Don’t trust FileMaker Server to be accurate?)
