Pie Chart Labels and SQL

I'm trying to add some text to the numeric slice data returned in this pie chart in order to make it more meaningful (see attached WidgetPieChart.png).  The two numeric values are drawn from the same record, hence the Char(13) field separator.

Here's the SQL that brings back the numeric data as text:

~DN = ExecuteSQL("SELECT StrVal(dayProd), StrVal(nightProd) FROM Data WHERE Year_Weeknum = 4 AND Week_Daynum = 3";Char(13);"";"");

~DN1 = GetValue ( ~DN; 1) & " Widgets";

~DN2 = GetValue ( ~DN; 2) & " Widgets";

~SD = List(~DN1;~DN2)

The above query returns the desired results in the FMP DataViewer:

11 Widgets

45 Widgets

but the chart options for Data Type are set to 'Numeric' and can't be changed -as far as I know (see attached PieChartOptions.png).

Consequently, no chart.

Specifically, what does it take to set the Data Type option in the Chart Settings from 'Numeric' to 'Text'?

Or, is there another way to go about this?

Happy to provide more/better info in needed.
