Thank you for your post.
There is absolutely no way to convert a newer file type to an older format. So a ".fmp12" cannot be converted into a ".fp7", only the reverse (older files convert to newer -".fp7" to ".fmp12"). FileMaker Go 11 is also no longer available on the App Store, unless it is in your previous purchase History.
I hope this helps!
FMGo 14 requires ios 8.1, I believe the ipad 1 is the only one that can't be updated, so it is time for an upgrade. You can not create a runtime for the ios, FMGo is the runtime. Filemaker does have the iosAPPSdk but it is based on FMGo14 so you would most likely have the same issues.
Thanks. I think rewriting a lower version of the file is more cost-effective than upgrading a number of iPads. Thanks for your help.
You can not get older versions of FMGo, As TSPigeon stated 'you had to download / purchased the older version of FMGo when it was available on the App store' to be able to download it to your device now. No, it's not always more cost effective to use out of data hardware and software. Apple has added a bunch of security features since ios 8 was released. Your data is at risk from hacks and hardware crashes when using old hardware / software.
