[Q] Problem with Web Viewer showing PDF file

I am trying to set up a Web Viewer to display a PDF file that is on my local drive., using a custom Web address calculation.

When I try to do this on a Windows machine, I only see a small x'd out box (although the vertical scroll bar is active) but the pdf contents are not displayed.

The system I'm using is:

OS:  Windows 7 Professional x64

FMP: FileMaker Pro 13.0v5

Adobe Reader X Version 10.1.16

Note that when I use the same calculation but use ".jpg" rather than ".pdf", the web viewer will show the file contents with the ".jpg" file extension which I've also placed in the same folder, so I believe the syntax of the calculation is correct.

I tried to view a pdf file on my Mac using a similar calculation and it worked with no problems. That was using:

OS:  OS X El Capitan 10.11.3

FMP: FileMaker Pro 14.0.5

Adobe Reader DC Version 2015.010.20060

I tried looking at previous discussions. This one seemed to suggest there might be something related to an Adobe plugin or PPD file?  But that was on a Mac.  Any advice for getting this to work on a PC?
