I think it depends on the way you define the value list you use for the pop-up menu, it don't think it's a relationship problem.
Have you had a look at this: Creating conditional Value Lists | FileMaker ? If not, it might help you.
I understand very well how to create conditional value list. But the popup on the portal of the invoicing layout will not give me the list of products that relate to customer.
My Customitem table is as follows:
IDf_CustomerID linked to Customer table
InvoiceData Table is linked to CustomerItem through IDf_CustomerID. Why does the popup give me a list of all the models bought by all the clients, instead of only the client on the invoice?

I don't see anything called "InvoiceData". What three TOs are involved in this value list?
Sorry Mike, InvoiceData relates to LINEITEM. I used InvoiceData as it seemed more explicit.
The 3 TO's are:
LINEITEM - contains invoice data
CUSTOMERITEM - contains client product lists
Again, please identify the specific TOs you're using for your value list. I can't analyze based on tables, because value lists are based on TOs.
So you're sitting on ORDER, and the value list is based on related records from order_LineItem_CUSTOMERITEM_customer?
I've done a very crude demo based on the above discussion. For the sake of simplicity, you have to fill the ids by hand, and the creation of new records in the related tables is done directly in the portals, but other than that it should work.
Tell me if I've understood what you want to do.

The ORDER holds all the invoicing information (customer name and address, VAT....)
Layout ORDER has a portal order_LINEITEM which holds all the articles that are to be invoiced BUT instead of obtaining the articles from PRODUCT, it obtains the articles from order_lineitem_CUSTOMERITEM_customer. This TO holds the specific products that each individual customer buys.
Example: If we have a 100 articles, and the customer being invoiced orders regularly only 3 articles; the popup should only show me the these 3 articles and not all the 100.
Chloe, that looks good.
I will try it shortly and let you know.
Okay, I'm gonna try this one more time:
What ... two ... TOs ... are ... used ... to ... define ... the ... value ... list?
That's the information I need to diagnose this.
