    Ancient (5.5) Server Woe

    romeyn

We have an ancient FMserver: fmserverd 5.5 on CentOS 6.2

We had an unexpected crash of multiple systems last week (long story) and when we attempt to start up fmserverd we get the following message:

"Filemaker Server quitting!  Temporary file could not be created."

That's it.  Nothing more in the log.  Nothing to indicate WHERE the temporary file is attempting to be created.

Suspecting corruption on the part of a hosted database, I tested with an empty directory and got the same error.

Can anyone give me tips on how to run this down?
