Yes this is one of the threads I was looking at. Trying to find a way not having to use 3rd party apps just all native FileMaker. I looked into several of these apps and it seems so unprofesstional when a user clicks on a notification, taken to one app and then onto FM GO. Sadly no script steps in FM to accomplish such tasks that I know of. Surprising as we're now at iOS 9 and FM is an Apple Subsidiary. It's starting to hinder a great tool for both new people and devs.
Ah TSGal, do you have any thoughts on this?

ios version really has nothing to do with it. FMGo really is version 4, when FMP12 came out FMGo version number jumped to 12. FMGo only came out in 2010 FileMaker - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
iosAPPSDK has only been out four months.
It is a good product idea and should be posted here Product Ideas
There are no product ideas for this yet. Let me know if you are going to submit one or not.
it would be good if at the very least sever could push to a device .But native offline would be the grail!
Thank you for your posts.
Just to confirm, at this time, FileMaker Go does not have the ability to interact with Reminders nor Calendar. The best place to submit this feature request (Thank you Mike_Mitchell and schamblee!) is the Product Ideas board. The Product Ideas board is monitored by Product Management and Development, and every request is read, discussed and considered for possible implementation in a future release.
If a second version of SDK would allow plugins, we could do something and add a plugin for this.
(MBS has already the OS X functions for this)
Or maybe you can make a special URL and trigger calendar?
What we need is the ability to create our own xcode project, add the filemaker sdk library and manage the startup ourselves. Right now we can't activate the push notifications because we have to add some instructions inside appdelegate
I guess that it's already possible to do that but I don't know enough about xcode yet.
Another approach would be to create our own external app to manage the push notifications.
This would still require the installation of a second app by the user but at least it would be named better and would come from the same dev as the fias.
I spent an hour this morning playing with xcode.
I was able to compile a newly manually created (not generated by sdk) swift project with the filemaker sdk (and all its build phases) in it.
I could not not get the actual filemaker generated app to launch though.
It may be possible but it's outside my xcode competence.
Thanks all for responding. I'm speaking to a few iOS/Swift developers regarding this feature. I would like to give the techies at FileMaker more concrete ideas/code in which this feature could be incorporated in FM GO and it's SDK. I'll post back here within a few weeks and then port that to the Product Ideas section.
I have a solution here to help creating calendar entries.
Will soon put it on the blog for everyone to try.
Can't wait to try this in a few days.
