I'm looking for a way to verify IF a Container Field is Empty
The ISEMPTY will not validate container fields.
You can test against container attributes, but I thought is empty would work on containers directly.
IsEmpty does work in a container field. Are you sure you are not getting confused by the results. IsEmpty will return a 1 if the field is empty and a 0 if it is not empty.
I'll continue testing, but I am quite familiar with ISEMPTY.
isempty() should work. Or you could use getcontainerattribute(field, "All"), which returns ? for an empty container.
Maybe you have a bad index? In which case, change the field to never index, save that, then change it back to allow indexing.
I just retested on conditional formatting and it works using ""
I can confirm that is the standard behaviour.
empty container = not length(containerfield)
