Simple answer... Yes. I would just copy the fields from the "Attendees" tab and paste them into the "Status" tab. Next I would un-check the option to enter the field during browse mode in the inspector. This would keep users from changing the information on that tab.
Question.. Are you saying that you have a different portal under each tab, cause I'm not sure you can have "Tabs" inside a portal?
Would your portal from the "Status" tab pull data from the same table occurance as the "Attendees" tab or would it be a seperate table occurance?
I must admit the terminology of table occurrence escapes me. Would you please explain so I may answer you question correctly?

When you enter an attendee's information, that data is stored into a table, tou then set a relationship from that table to another table on your relationships graph under manage database. Each group of fields on your relationship graph is a "table occurence". Every table you create within the database will have at least "1" table occurence. More complex solutions can have multiple table occurences from the same "Table" source.
i.e. Attendees_List1, Attendees_List2, etc. etc.
What I would do is create fields in the table, which is storing the "Attendee's" information, for your classes checklist that you want to create.
Create your new "status" tab, Create a portal just like you did for the "Attendees" tab, select only the fields you want to show in the status portal.
When you create an attendee, all information will show up on the status tab portal.
Thank you! I greatly appreciate your help.
