Assuming you mean you want a remote backup of your FileMaker databases, you can either:
1) Go into the server and upload from the Backups directory manually.
2) Create an OS-level script that runs the FTP login and upload automatically.
1 is easy. 2 is less so.
You will also need to be careful about timing issues when you use OS-level scripting: you don't want the OS-level script to start pushing backup files to the FTP server when the backup is not done.
To overcome that: do everything in an OS-level script so that each command waits for the previous one to finish:
- use the fmsadmin backup command to create a backup set
- then zip and copy or just copy the files to the FTP server

Thanks for the input.
You can run a scheduled script to backup.
With MBS Plugin you can check if FM database is open, zip database files into archive, upload them via FTPS or SFTP.
Thanks for the input. I prefer not using plugins.
