Set Variable [ $ID; Value: Portal::ID ] // grab the ID of the portal row clicked
//continue your script logic ...eg.
Go to Layout [ "Tracking Log" ]
Set Field [ TrackingLog::nameID; $ID ]
Commit Records/Requests [ ]
//do other.... Close Window etc...
I have my variable set the way you are describing but no mater what portal row i click on , it keeps copying the first portal row id.
If your button is on the portal row, and the value you're grabbing comes from the same TO as the portal row (or from a TO "beyond" that portal TO) you should be getting the id from the row you clicked.
When similar has happened to me, it's always turned out that one of those things wasn't true... no matter how sure I was.
This was my bad. I was committing the records in the script. That's what was screwing me up.
