Can you still create a Runtime version in Filemaker 15 Pro Advanced?
Yes it is still in FMPA 15, just as FMI said it would be.
Don't forget to try our Runtime Shrinker:
MBS Blog - Introducing Runtime Shrinker 2.0
Runtimes made with v15 are 64-bit only.
Our shrinker still can remove 14 MB with 32-bit libraries!
Just to clarify, incase other reads this post.
Apple Runtimes are 64bit only, but can be made to run in 32bit. Windows depends on which version you create your runtime in, FMPA15 32 bit would make 32bit runtime. FMPA15 64bit would make 64bit runtime.
The runtime is 64-bit and does not run on a 32-bit Mac.
And that is not a problem as the FM 15 runtime requires OS X 10.10 and that also requires 64-bit. SO that's fine.
Our tool can remove the extra 32-bit code from the 64-bit Mac runtime.
For Windows, things are different and we keep 32-bit there for a long time.
I was thinking of the 64bit Mac users running in 32bit because they were still using old 32bit plugs. Great that you pointed out, that it will not run on 32bit MAC. Not, much reason for the 32bit code to be in there
plug-ins. Sometime you can go back edit and other time not.
