as we know, you're with Mac OSX 10.10.5
would that trick
- select "project.fmp12"
- always open with: FMP15
- always open File Type .fmp12 with FMP15
change this behavior?
I can't replicate this with Mac OSX 10.11.* and FMPA 14 AND 15: Double-click a file would always open it in the FM-Version which is already launched.
I can replicate this behavior with FMGo with AppMaker on iOS where a solution get's launched in FMGo14 instead of FMGo 15.
For Mac AND PC OS, is there kind of a priority how a .fmp12 file gets launched? I would expect that a file would first be opened in a FM Version that is already launched, if no FM is launched, launching the highest FM Version.
Is there any priority for FMPro versus FMPro Advanced?
i can't replicate this issue with Mac OS X 10.11.4 and FMP188.8.131.52
Yes, double-click on item in the Finder will open file.fmp12 in FMP15 or in already launched app (FMP14A, FMP13A). But click on link "fmp://IP/project.fmp12" does not open with launched FMP15, but launches FMP14A and opens with this.
On my Mac (iMac OS X 10.10.5) not the highest FM version is launched, but FMP14A, even though if FMP15 already is launched.
A long shot :
After you installed FileMaker 15, did you restart the computer at least one time ?
yes, my iMac was restarted since installing FMP15
