Description: as stated above
How to replicate: open script window. Run a script and it will get the spinning wheel at the end of the script. It seems like al the functions run.
Workaround: none at this point.
No sure how this relates, but interesting.
different bugs can have same causes.
With your Mac, you would be able to monitor some system activity with System Tool 'Activity Monitor'.
Maybe you can spot any unusual activity with | CPU | Memory | Network | that goes ahead of a crash.
Maybe hschlossberg likes to chime in with his experiences with his Memory Leak issue
Since updating to FMA 15 I have been getting the spinning wheel when running a script from the script window with it open. It happens every other time. I am stuck with force quitting the program.
I'm not clear -- is this one particular script, or running ANY script? My guess is that it is one particular script and it is hitting on a layout that has a summary field on it, with a lot of records showing (and summarizing)...or performing a find on an unindexed field...or similar problem. Let's ignore for now that it is "every other time", as this could simply be due to caching. Assuming it is one script (and assuming you don't have FMP Advanced to better pinpoint the step where it fails), perhaps you could share the script here?
