When you use "via SMTP", the mail is sent from FMS. So it runs as always "No dialog".
Can you send using "PSOS" on FM Pro? If not, your FMS may not be able to communicate with your SMTP server.
"doesn't work on WebDirect with the No Dialog option." is saying about "via E-mail Client" option. In the case, mail is sent from client PC.
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I can send using PSOS on FM Pro. I am making sure to test in FM Pro first then in WebDirect. Does FMS send mail differently when using FM Pro versus WebDirect?
Looking at the received mail, there is no difference between them...
This will not effect to result, but why don't you use GetValue() instead of MiddleValues(), and do you need Get ( AccountName) and Get ( FileName) as parameter?
I got it working. The issue for me was twofold:
1. I had to setup our exchange server to accept relay smtp from the FM Server
2. I had to point the Send Mail function to the internal exchange server
Now, the Send Mail via SMTP works both locally and on the PSOS method.
thanks for the hints, it helped point me in the right direction.
