I have looked around and could not find any real solutions, just need black only text.
Go into layout mode. Click an edit box control on your layout. in the inspector adjust the font color property to black
Can you post a screen shot of the layout? Color of Text (in labels and fields) is usually tied to the theme used for the layout. Do you know the theme?
Use script to remove color of the text:
TextColorRemove( Field Name)
Classic theme, see attached, I think because FM uses RGB color space you cannot do black only. See attached
it always reverts to RGB
the color picker should allow you to get RGB colors, too.
You can also do this at the field level. Check out the auto entry calc for the field in the attached. I use this for those files where users sometimes copy and paste text into a field. Of course, this only works for fields in records created or modified after you apply the calc.
I use CMYK in Photoshop, surely not in Filemaker lol.
IMHO the best slider to use in Filemaker is HSB. Great valuefor example if you want to change a green gradient, which goes from 90 brightness to 70 brightness, you just change the hue for both colors going from hue = 130 to hue = 0 while leaving the rest as it is.
I use RGB only together with the Digital Color Meter, but never use CMYK.
It's also nice for creating shades of a particular color: leave the hue alone and just change the brightness and saturation to get a range of one color from light to dark.
