Product and version

FileMaker Go 14 & 15

OS and version

iOS 9.3.1

Hardware

5th generation iPod Touch

Description

When displaying a custom dialog in FileMaker Go, Japanese text that naturally wraps to two or more lines is partially hidden.

The custom dialog does not expand enough to fit the text and the bottom half of the last line is not displayed. The text in the dialog can be scrolled to show the partially hidden line.

However, if the text has any ASCII characters (half width letters, numbers, punctuation) the dialog displays the text properly.

How to replicate

Create a custom dialog to display Japanese text that wraps to two lines and does not contain ASCII characters.

Expected Behavior

Text that wraps to two or more lines should be displayed without scrolling (up to the maximum size that the dialog allows without scrolling).

Workaround

Use newline characters to force the text to wrap or include ASCII characters in the text when possible
