You may have inadvertently saved the password to keychain/credentials manager. If you remove it from there you'll get the credentials popup again. In File Options you can also disallow saving of the password.

Have you checked in the Keychain (or whatever the Windows equivalent is) to see if you accidentally checked "Allow Keychain Access..."?

This behavior is happening on a Windows computer, windows 10, filemaker v15...
It's weird , because I can modify the file, but can't access the 'manage security' function, without putting in the account/ password, BUT the login credentials I have always used don't work...
I have backups of the file, so there is no problem with data loss, and I have a version on my Mac laptop, which still works normally.
What does it show for "Log In Using" under File Options > Open?
