Can files created in FileMaker Pro 7 be converted directly to FileMaker Pro 10?
If not, what is the latest FileMaker version that will directly convert fp7 files?
Thanks in advance.
FileMaker Pro 7- FileMaker Pro 11 use the same .fp7 file format so there is no conversion necessary.
So, in your case, your FileMaker Pro 7 file should open with no problem in FileMaker Pro 10.
I'm still using FileMaker Pro 7 on an old desktop running Windows XP. My wife and I are also using fp7 on our laptop running Windows 7, but there are some "peculiarities" to it. I recently bought a new desktop with Windows 10 on it.
In my last question, I wrote the WRONG version. I still had Windows 10 on my brain. I'm thinking about buying FileMaker Pro 15.
What I meant to ask is --- Can fp7 files be directly converted to the latest version, FileMaker Pro 15?
I would think so. There is no other extension difference. It went from .fp7 to .fp12 which is what we are currently using.
You can always download the demo and try.
