    Limit Summary?

    cc05

Is it possible to put a limit on a summary field? For example, I would like a custom box to pop up if the "cu ft." summary field reaches 8k for a given day etc. Looking at multiple records for a single date, it would be nice to limit the total to a specific number.. In the attachment it's showing the Cu Ft. at 8,404 in the found set. Is it possible to set a limit so the sub total cannot exceed 9,000?

the found set is the result of a find, what would you do if the total exceeds a limit ? Return to find mode with a beep ?

you can always conditional format the total (fill red if it exceeds) or show something on the layout, something which is hidden if the total is less than your "trigger" value.
