Thank you for your post!
I was unable to reproduce this behavior with FileMaker Pro 15 Advanced on Mac OS X 10.10 (or newer) or Windows 7 Professional SP1.
-Does this happen in any solution you access with your installation of FileMaker Pro 15 Advanced?
-Have you tried reinstalling FileMaker Pro 15 Advanced?
I'm working on a Mac Book Pro running OS X 10.10.5. running FileMaker Pro Advanced 15.
I just checked and if I quit FileMaker Pro Advanced 15 and restart it, the Inspector displays correctly. I'm developing some new files so have had FileMaker open most of the day and at some point it started to have the inspector issue.
It doesn't appear to be related to a specific file.
you might already have tried this but I just wonder:
cmd / I
to toggle Inspector on/off change anything with this behavior?
Your right, I did. When the issue is present it doesn't help. Closing FileMaker and restarting it does help.
Not sure if this helps, but it appears that the problem starts after several hours of development. Today I'm working on a project that is requiring a good deal of layout work. The inspector worked correctly for three or four hours. FileMaker and the database were open all of the time. There were a few breaks in there when I was doing something other then active development. Just before I had to leave for a meeting the inspector problem occurred again. Since I was leaving anyway, I closed the file and FileMaker. After the meeting, I opened FileMaker and the same database. The inspector is working correctly.
