    Can users login to a webdirect-published database using a form on website?

    cchaski

      In IWP, my users logged in via a form from my website. The form specified the database, username and password. I am now switching over to WebDirect, Filemaker Server 14, Windows 2012. Will this still work for webdirect?

      If this form technique will not work any longer, what are good ways to continue this tradition of logging in via the website?

      old form:

      <form action="http://DOMAIN.com/fmi/iwp/cgi" method="get"><input name="dbpath" type="hidden" value="/fmi/iwp/cgi?-db=FMDATABASENAME&amp;-startsession" /><input name="acct" type="hidden" value="account" /><input name="-authdb" type="hidden" /><label>Account</label>

      <input name="name" type="text" />

      <label>Password</label>

      <input name="password" type="password" />

      <input name="login" type="submit" value="Login" /></form>

      possible new form???? (http ==> https, and iwp ==> webd)

      <form action="https://DOMAIN.com/fmi/webd/cgi" method="get"><input name="dbpath" type="hidden" value="/fmi/webd/cgi?-db=FMDATABASENAME&amp;-startsession" /><input name="acct" type="hidden" value="account" /><input name="-authdb" type="hidden" /><label>Account</label>

      <input name="name" type="text" />

      <label>Password</label>

      <input name="password" type="password" />

      <input name="login" type="submit" value="Login" /></form>

      I would just test this but right now my server is down) and I'd like your advice on best alternatives too.

      Thank you all very much in advance for your help
