My application is local and syncs with host via file transfer. it is used both on desktop and mobile.
Solution uses more than one file, so I can update only part of the solution when needed and some user data can remain untouched.
My question is:
Is that slower for fmp/fmgo reading and writing among different files or does it take same time ?
for example I keep a log of all operations, that means I continuosly write data to log table.
Should I better keep log table on primary file or is that irrelevant ?
It's irrelevant. I've never seen any performance benchmarks that indicate multiple files are slower. It sounds like you have a good grasp of the separation model, so I'd keep going the way you are.
