Why are portals acting weird? Help!

    DeanA64

I really need some help. This is driving me nuts.

I have a COMPANIES layout in my marketing database.

I have portals for NOTES, TASKS, MARKETING ACTIVITY, CONTACTS, PROJECTS on the COMPANIES layout.

CONTACTS portal is working fine and showing fields in Browse mode. So are NOTES and TASKS portals.

However, portals MARKETING, INVOICES, PROJECTS portals are refusing to show the fields in Browse mode. If I move the fields out of the portal, they display. I have sent finicky portals to back, brought fields to front; nothing seems to work to make the fields display properly in  the portals in question. I have no idea at this point why a couple of portals are working fine and the others refuse to, when I'm not doing anything different in creating them.

Can somebody help? Creating portals is simple but this is turning out to be a nightmare!

      Thanks in advance...

          1.     Make sure the fields are actually IN the portal and not floating over it (if so, you would se just one row).

          2.     Make sure the fields in the portal are actually from the same TO as the portal, or on the same relationship line.

          3.     Make sure the relationship to the portal's TO is in fact correctly set up.

          4.     Create a whole new portal for the problem TO and see if that works OK.

Just some obvious issues I would try.
