I'm very new to this so be gentle with me !
I would like to input data once in a client table e.g. Unique "Client number" Name address e-mail etc etc
Then open a new record in a separate Quote table when I enter the unique client number it populates all the other fields name addressetc which were in the client table. At the same time creating a unique "Quote Number" I would then proceed to enter additional data e.g. Description of work being quoted on price etc. Then after quote is accepted by client and work completed open a new record in a separate Invoice table when I enter the unique quote number it populates all the other (selected)fields name address description of work and price quoted etc which were in the Quote table along with creating a unique "Invoice Number" again I would add any additional info required.
How do I do this ?
I'm fine with creating fields using serial numbers etc its the linking I have the main problem with not sure if you would use relationships or formulas/scripts ?
