FileMaker Custom Function:RemoveValue ( Values ; ValuesToRemove )
Koji wrote this custom function to remove a value from a list of values.
Usage in your case would be:
Set Field [ case::ID ; RemoveValue( case::ID ; "7654") ]
Why do you have a field that contains a list of values? Generally, that represents poor data structure, and they should be related records.
Also as a point of info, the name convention "ID" would indicate to me that it is a unique primary key for the case table, however you are storing a list of keys here, which would indicate it's a foreign key.
Yes, Thank you. OP edited.
Listing multiple foreign Keys in the foreign key ID field lets me send the same "case" to different "eq lists." This is very effective and helpful as it accurately shows the movement of my cases for my audio/visual rental company.
in the OP I did have the field listed in a way that would suggest it was a primary key and not the foreign. The OP has been edited.
