We use a script trigger to get the original data and a scrip trigger to get the new data and then fill a log field in the record.
We fill the field with a modifier name, modifier timestamp and the changes that are made.

If you need help with creating the scripts, I can create a sample file for you
You'll find a lot of info by searching on "audit log"
Thanks. that is close. Can you reference the entire sequence from start to finish at a later time? The application is status changes for terrain opening/closing at a ski area. We are running FM13 as our dispatch database.
Thanks, will do.
It's a log field for that record only.
You can also to create a log table (every change a script creates a new record in the log table).
