Looks to be an issue in FM15. I opened the same file in FM14 and the print went as expected.
Is this a known problem with FM15?
does it work under 14.06? Could it be theme specific?
What version of 15? We realized that there are some differencies between the 15 subversions..
Running on OS X 10.11.5. File was created with v184.108.40.206 and that is the current build as far as I know and this version is having the issues.
Works with 14.0.3.
Exact same file. Exact same layout. In FM15 there is a long pause where the web viewer goes blank for about a second after the print is initiated. In FM14 this does not happen.
I made one change. The HTML had images from an external web server src="https://..." . I brought the images into a container and changed the HTML to src="data:image/gif;base64,...." and it is now printing from FM15.
Maybe FM14 handled printing for web viewer to fully load before printing and FM15 does not. I am guess the local data just loads faster. This is likely a better solution overall anyway. I am angry that this took a few hours of my life.
Why does FM keep making printing more difficult when it is already pretty bad?
14.03 is without the changes that were introduced with 15 or 14.06 (AFAIK pdf.. but who knows..)
I checked it out on my MacBook with 220.127.116.11 -> when printing, a pause occurs with turning the webviewer to blank - but the file in the printer queue ist complete, can open it. I don't have a printer here.. but when printing, it will fill the queue correctly
Yes. My prints fill the queue and print a blank page. If you have time to check how the actual print comes out using images on external WAN servers that would be interesting to know how it turns out.
back at the office now -> webviewer prints correctly
OSX 10.11.4, FM Adv 15.01.119, Xerox printer
I created a layout with a simple webviewer, containg the wikipedia template, cmd-p, current record
Not sure this is the same case.
I have a data:text/html entry and there were links to images on external servers that do not have caching and were on a server half the world away.
I suspect Wikipedia loads faster than the images were. Might have been a timing issue. I will get to testing it some time later. I have been super busy working. No time for testing this stuff.
