Product and version
FileMaker Pro / Advanced 15 (maybe with v14.0.6, too?)
OS and version
OS X v10.11.5
MacBook Pro 15" Retina, additional LED Cinema Display
Description / How to replicate
We have several PDF items in our printing layouts - not inside of a container, but directly as a layout object which is great for use with Retina displays for the scalability. Some of them have transparent background and are layered over another graphical object - a colored rectangle.
Since switching to FileMaker 15 the transparency of the PDF items is gone.
For containers it is possible to activate the "keep transparency of PDF"-option in Layout mode but for graphical layout items this is not the case. Why?
Creating a global variable container field, place the PDF in question into the container and mark the "keep transparency"-option for this field in your printing layouts.
But I would prefer the old style - the ability to use PDF graphics directly in layouts...
