Good morning hgl,
I hope your day is going well. Are both of the database files you're working with FileMaker files?
Thank you for your response. Yes they are all FileMaker files. Perhaps it is one database and two separate layouts in terms of the correct glossary.
There are numerous ways to accomplish your goal, and several variables to consider when determining the best option for your specific case. That said, based on what you've shared so far, I think what we need to determine first is where the table you want to move the information to is located (i.e. in the same FileMaker file or in a separate file). If the tables are in the same FileMaker file, the next question in my mind would be do you actually need two tables? You may be able to get by with adding one field to the primary "Contacts" table that identifies the type of contact (e.g., customer, vendor, etc...) and then use find requests or portal filtering to narrow the found set. Let's go one step at a time and see what we can come up with. Have a great day!
