fields on a layout must be connected to some kind of field in a table.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
a login screen, with email and password, just after entering access the users table
Why not use the built in security functionality?
Building an erstatz security system is not an easy task and can resemble whack-a-mole as you try to make it secure.
It is a system for the general public,
where new customers must make your registration,
Customers already registered must provide
login / email and password already registered.
if direct type in the table, do not know how to control it.
this still qualifies as an erstatz security system and comes with all the risks inherent in storing authentication data elements in tables.
You could make entry into fields set to global storage and parse the data entry fields to see if someone is authorized.
the problem is that security measures should prevent opening of the file if not authenticated. as soon as it becomes a scripted process the file is already open and vulnerable.
Do the users get to create their own passwords, or do you want to assign them a password once they've registered?
What sort of volume are you expecting? That is, how many users will be registering per week? Are they internal to your company or members of the general public? I ask because, depending on your answers, it might be easier just to manage your memberships via e-mail.
I can rather generate internal password and send it by
email without problems.
Some users should be external, the general public,
They are not the company.
I am looking for a way to external users,
digitassem login and password variables,
and then search the table.
thanks a lot, I will try
