Is it possible to hide the second y-axis on bar charts?
Do you mean the label? There is only a second y-axis if you choose to show that
Could you please explain how you choose to show/not show the second axis?
No it does not seem possible. Read the post below. Best I could do was create a white box with no border and place it over the 2nd y axis.
When you start to create a new chart you have only one Y-axis. If you need one more, you add one more. If you dont want the second one, why dont you just start from scratch and start all over
You can add a "second" data series for the Y axis, but you cannot turn off the 2nd, or right hand Y axis. Formatting the chart text so that it is white will hide all the chart text on all of the axes on a white background, but you cannot format the axes text independently of each other, nor can you choose to not display the right hand Y axis (2nd Y-axis). Datalacrity was referring to the right hand Y-axis, not adding another data series
johanhedman, my charts start with 2-axes and I can't determine a way to disable the second one. As far as I'm concerned, weaverd has answered the question. Since there appears to be a lot of confusion around this topic, it would be nice if someone from filemakerincorporated would chime in.
