Sever Deployment - Single Machine vs Multiple Machines.

      Hello!

We have a Custom Web Publishing solution which is starting to slow down due to the amount of connections we are receiving, we think!

At the time of writing this we have 82 Custom Web Publishing connections currently open, but this can hit well over 100.

We originally had a Multiple Machine Deployment (FM12) but we had issues with the connections dropping out between the Worker and the Master machine. We were advised by FileMaker to revert back to the Single Machine Deployment.

Before we move over to a Multiple Machine Deployment (FM15) has anybody had issues with the connections dropping out between the Worker and the Master machine and if so what the reason is?

Any advise would be much appreciated.

      Kind Regards,

      Andy.

          Hi Andy

We're running 2 Windows server deployments on FMS v14, mainly for web direct and do occasionally have to restart the worker due to web site failure. We've not as yet upgraded to v15 so nothing to go on as yet. Also, at this stage we've no diagnosis as at the time it is just a question of getting it running again, which the restart resolves. IIS restart alone does not solve the problem.

Not too much help to you other than to confirm the problem remains at FMS v14.

          Regards

          Andy
