easiest way: Magic value list
- google for that
the principle is (very short version...)
- to fill a $$variable using sql (or via 'list function', whatever - it needs a list) with the 'dynamic data' for the value list
- have an unstored calc-field that gets that $$var
- a self-join relation, the left side unstored, cartesian (two formula fields with fix '1', one unstored)
- a script trigger that fires a script when entering the specific field to define the $$var
-> the clue is that the $$var has to be defined as script-parameter, the script itself doesn't need any steps, it's just the 'handle'
there are good examples available on the web
Thanks Markus. I'll Giggle, er, Google it.
Thanks much Joshua. I appreciate it.
