What do you actually have it set to, can you screenshot your inspector appearance tab for those settings?
For WebDirect, I always recommend "web safe font practices", which includes using fonts (verdana is already an acceptable one), with minimal settings for indentation, kerning, and line spacing (prefer to use default).
Since user web browsers can control and override how some fonts are displayed via CSS (EG accessibility settings), then you can sometimes run into issues like this.
I've left closed the Graphic drop-down so I could accommodate the Inspector in one screenshot; there's nothing to see there, anyway, since it's set to its defaults.
Exactly for what you've written, that's why I chose Verdana for all our WebDirect files' default font--it's "web safe" and is easy to read, being sans-serif and all.
How exactly is your text stored? Is it rich text, or is it plain text in filemaker? I noticed with the color coding that maybe your content itself is overriding the settings (which look fine by the way).
EG, try copying the text to notepad, and then pasting it back into filemaker without formatting, does that fix the issue?
It's stored as Plain Text in a text box. I tried your suggestion--no improvement.
...I'll make a calculated text field out of it this afternoon and will see what happens. Stay tuned.
Yup, that did the trick: using text fields in the layout instead text boxes.
Great...found an answer to the problem but now I've made myself a lot more work. Good thing I'm paid by the hour.
Thanks again for your help!
