Button Formatting with icon graphics

FileMaker buttons are now very nice and easy to use and format in your layout with text and graphics.  The ability to add your own graphical icons to a solution from .png files is a great feature - in addition to already having the useful set of icons FileMaker includes right-out-of-the-box.

The included icons are stored as part of the FileMaker application package (I have a Mac) and exist therein as .svg (scalable vector graphics) files.  They have a nice feature in that they "high-light" to a darker shade of gray when a button in a button-bar is "active".  Icons you add yourself appear the same when a button is either active or inactive.

Does anyone know how to add additional "built-in" icons for use in formatting buttons/popovers, or to make user-added icons behave graphically similarly to the built-ins?

Thanks for sharing any knowledge you may have.
