I have a process where I sometimes connect an iPad to a Windows 10 laptop via WiFi. The process works really well using the laptop as the host and using FM Go on the iPad. The advantage is that no extra gadgets are needed to facilitate the WiFi link, just the laptop and iPad.
I turn on a hostednetwork in Windows 10 using a command line instruction -
"netsh wlan start hostednetwork" to start the wireless network on the Windows laptop which allows the iPad to see the hosted Filemaker documents.
I use "netsh wlan stop hostednetwork" to stop the wireless network when I don't need it.
Everything is working fine but it would be really nice to turn the laptop wireless network on and off using a button in Filemaker.
Does anybody know of a way to send a string to the Windows 10 command prompt from within Filemaker?
