We have FileMaker Pro version 11. One system is a Dell OptiPlex 755, 64 bit, Windows 7. The newer system is a Dell OptiPlex 9020, also 64 bit, Windows 7. Both have the same software and same key but the Dell 9020 will not prompt for a user name and password. That system can ping the server, network drive can be mapped, but it will not ask for user name and password when using 'Open Remote'. Can't open any files by using the path either. On the older system, no problems. Reload both systems to have exactly the same software, updates, etc. The OptiPlex 755 will still work with version 11. Not so on the OptiPlex 9020. I can use version 10 with no problem on the OptiPlex 9020, just can't use version 11.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong?
