I have, what seems to me, a simple problem - that I haven't been able to solve. Simply, i have an employee database of 250+ listing the usual items (Name, address, hire date, wage scale, etc). The company has decided that all employees will wear the same uniform shirt and I would like to add this information to the database. Instead of having a separate field for each of the 7 sizes, I thought that 1 edit list dropdown field based on a value list of the sized would suffice to note the different sizes for each employee. I set this up with no difficulty. The problem is that I want to be able to determine the required number of each size by department and in total. I have not been able to do either.
I know it can be done because I did it about 15 years ago at another firm, but, of course, I don't have access to to the file now.
