Execute SQL Reference for Creating Filemaker tables programmatically

    JohnM_2

I just found out that you can use Execute SQL to Create Filemaker tables programmatically.

Using FileMaker ODBC - as the DSN - I executed:

create table newtable (id varchar,   text1 VARCHAR, number decimal)

hat are the various possible types that I can use when creating a Filemaker TABLE?

and can I pass more parameters for each field?

Is there a good reference manual for this?  for Filemaker 14?

Can I get some help then for the syntax to insert data into the various field types?

I can see that if I wanted to convert an SQL DB to Filemaker - I could generate a script which I could modify and run it in Execute SQL.

      Thanks in Advance
