Error 9 saving pdf protected by password

    jpl

I am trying to save as report as PDF and everything works OK till I try to and a new one report to the original.

If I don't use a password there is no problem.

If I use a constant as password no problem, but if it is a variable produces error 9: insufficient privileges

      Any suggestion?

Hello, jpl. This is not a comment on the forum software (JIVE) or it's issues. I believe you want to Report a Product problem:

You can try to move this post there, or just start a new thread. You will be asked to define a few parameters:

Product and version (e.g. FileMaker Pro 14.0.3)

          OS and version

Browser and version (for WebDirect only)

          Hardware

          Description

          How to replicate

          Workaround (if any)

            Thank you for your post!

I don't see that a post has been added to the Report an Issue section, so I will move this one over for you. I was unable to reproduce this issue. To attempt to reproduce I followed these steps:

            1. Opened a file with 200+ records

            2. Created "SavePDF" script:

                 Set variable [$path ; Get(DesktopPath) & "fmpdf.pdf"]

                 Set Variable [$pass ; "test"]

Save Records as PDF [Restore ; With Dialog: Off ; $path ; Records Being Browsed]

(Also went into options > Security > Checked "Require password to open file" and set to $pass)

            3. Ran script on my foundset

            4. Opened "fmpdf.pdf" with password "test"

            *Worked as expected

Do you have any further information we could use to reproduce?
