Design Principles



You are invited to attend the next FileMaker user group meeting in Santa Clara, CA. The DigFM group is a collection of FileMaker enthusiasts who meet monthly to share ideas and best practices of using the FileMaker Platform.


Design Principles
Design has drastically changed in recent years. Conceiving elegant, easy to use and efficient layouts is now a priority in every FileMaker application development. During this session, Nicolas will demonstrate and expose to you fundamental principles in designing great applications for desktop and mobile devices. You will explore with great examples how a good design can change user perception of a FileMaker app, following extremely simple patterns and layout object organization.

About Speaker
Nicolas Hunter has been a FileMaker Pro evangelist for almost 30 years. During his 6 years working at FileMaker Inc, he has designed, engineered, and developed the Starter Solutions released with FileMaker Pro, FileMaker Go, and FileMaker WebDirect showcasing his expertise in building FileMaker solutions. He participated in creating new standards and techniques for solutions optimized for the FileMaker platform. From his work with the original FileMaker Plus to the current release, Nicolas is now at work on bringing his skill set and experience to designing and imagining great apps for the FileMaker platform.
