    FileMaker 13 not releasing users

Product and version (FileMaker Server v13.0v9)

OS and version Windows Server 2012R2

Browser and version (for WebDirect only)

Usually we have 25 to 30 users connected to the server at a time. Once in a while, we get a message that the server limit of 100 has been reached. If I log on to the admin panel, it shows the same user multiple times, sometimes as much as 10x. Apparently, when they log off and then log back on, the first connection is not released. Is this a known problem? Most of the users are connecting to the FileMaker Server Windows from MACs running El Capitan.

          Thank you for your post!

There have been a handful of reports about "Ghost Connections" like this. It seems like reinstalling the latest update of FileMaker Server has fixed this in the past (make sure to rename the Server Folder after uninstall). You might also consider updating to FileMaker Server 14 or 15 as the "Ghost Connections" don't seem as apparent there.

There have been some instances where "Ghost Connections" occur due to improper disconnects due to force quitting applications or network issues.

          I hope this helps!
